A Bride's Photo Shoot @ The Vintage House

The Vintage House is an extremely girly place and lends itself to beautiful brides and her bridesmaids being photographed.  It is the perfect place for a bride to get together with her bridesmaids in preparation of her wedding...drinking a mimosa or two and just laughing and having a great time preparing for the special moment to come.
The back porch of The Vintage House was the perfect spot for the hairstylist and make up artist to prepare the girls' for their photo session, with natural light beaming in the windows from all around!

I took my own snapshots, as the photographer directed the photo session.
The girl's relaxed and had a great time...
It was an incredible experience to watch Kevin do his magic...
with three beautiful young women to photograph...surely making the job easier...
 Getting the lighting just right...
Kevin showed the bride a previous photo on his iphone of a pose that he wanted her to strike...
When necessary, he had no qualms striking a pose himself in order for
the bride to understand the shot that he was looking for...

An Intimate Wedding @ The Vintage House

On an amazingly warm December day, a young couple gathered at The Vintage House
with their closest friends and family for their wedding day celebration.
They wanted an intimate, sweet place where they could celebrate their love
and to exchange their wedding vows...to have and to hold from this day forward....

The Vintage House had an extra "sparkle" this happy day...
...a day where two loves were to be joined as one...
Chairs were arranged in the living room to accommodate
the guests who would witness this special occasion.
The bride chose to use the archway between the living room and the dining room as the alter with the centerpiece of candles glowing on the table.

As the guests arrived, the bride was "hiding" on the back porch of The Vintage House.
When the time came, the bride walked with her father, arm and arm,
through the garden courtyard alongside the house.
I love that this bride dressed her way...as all brides should...
casually in her bluejeans, a beautiful lacy blouse, spikey heels
and a gorgeous bouquet of white flowers...

...a special moment with her father on the front porch of The Vintage House,
before entering the house to greet her groom for their nuptials...
Immediately following the ceremony inside the house, the bride and groom posed
on the front porch for me so I could take a snapshot of them as Mr. & Mrs.
It was such a wonderful occasion...for the couple as well as for The Vintage House...
as this was the first of, hopefully many, weddings to be held at our sweet little venue!

Congratulations, Taylor and Shane...we wish you the very best!!

A 30th Birthday Celebration

A birthday brunch was held at The Vintage House in the honor Jennifer's (on the right) 30th birthday.
Cranberry and orange juice mimosa's were served as each guest arrived.
The tables were set beautifully using The Vintage House's assortment
of ironstone, crocks, linens and vintage servingware.
To accommodate the number of guests, dining tables were set up in
The Vintage House's living room, in addition to the dining room.

Jennifer's sister Sara prepared the brunch buffet in the kitchen for the guests.
A green chile egg casserole, french toast souffles, and fresh fruit parfaits were served.

The guests were asked to bring "a favorite thing" to share at the brunch.  Each guest drew another person's name. Everyone was able to enjoy and take home someone else's "favorite thing."

The "birthday" cakes were sweet macaroons.
 "Happy birthday to you!"
 "Make a wish..."
Jennifer truly enjoyed her 30th birthday at The Vintage House, sharing it with her friends and family!
