Friends of a Feather Gather @ The Vintage House

 A group of friends gathered @ The Vintage House to share some creative time... they set up up shop on the recently painted back porch of The Vintage House...where the natural light is so pretty!

Everyone brought a project to work on... 

Joan brought her unique paper stash to organize.  She saves notecards and pretty papers she receives and repurposes them...she just can't throw away the beautiful artwork...

Sharing ideas... 

 Robin brought some needlework that she had been working on...

 Marilyn was doing a unique collage of her kids...

 Kathi was working on a very unique invitation, made out of spools, to a creative gathering 

that she is hosting as a fund raiser for her kids' school!

 Everyone brought something to share for lunch...orzo salad, fruit salad, little sandwiches, red pepper dip, a delightful hazelnut chocolate bar, and incredible praline bars!

 They set up lunch buffet style in the kitchen on the old potting table that is used as counter space.

Everyone sat down in the recently remodeled dining room of The Vintage House...

and enjoyed some good cheer, good food, and good laughs!

What a lovely, cozy inspiring place 

to gather with friends...

spend an afternoon doing what you love...

sharing time with the special girls in your life!

A Lovely Baby Shower

These three girl's hosted a lovely baby shower @ The Vintage House 

for one of their dear friends who was having her first baby...

They chose to have additional tables set up to accommodate 

a sit-down dining experience for their guests, serving sweet and savory crepes...buffet style.

 The Vintage House does not really require much decorating for events 

that are hosted here...it is already very sweet and girly...

We do, however, encourage our guests to "make it their own" by adding their own special touches...this archway is the perfect spot to hang a personal banner that is specific to the event that is being held. 

 This vintage iron crib, which is part of the furnishings of the house, 

lends itself for a special place to display gifts for baby...

 Kalyn, one of the gals who hosted this baby shower, has her own business of creating beautiful invitations and stationary...Lilah Paper...and made these darling labels to add to the treats that were to go home with the guests.

 Our guests of The Vintage House are welcomed to use our treasure trove of

 lovely vintage ironstone dishes, serving ware, silverware, whatever is on hand to help create a 

beautiful, warm and charming experience... 

Needless to say...this momma-to-be was very pleased!

The Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show...

We attended the Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show recently to introduce our sweet space to brides-to-be as a venue for a bridal shower, bridal luncheon or a place for wedding day preparation, or even an intimate wedding or rehearsal dinner.

 Decorating the booth was easy...we displayed my mom's 1953 wedding dress 

which was a huge hit among many of the passers by...wanting a dress just like 

it for their own special day!

 The vintage couch is a find from a couple of years ago...and belongs to one of my daughters

...but she allows me to use it on loan anytime I need it for a prop!

We raffled off a girl's night at The Vintage House...along with a basket of wine, a girls' movie, 

and a nail polish set for when the winner stays with her friends at the house.

We invited the brides to take a peek inside our sweet venue the following weekend...

so they could see for themselves that The Vintage House is the perfect venue for 

their bridal luncheon, bridal shower, or wedding day prep!

It was a fun day, first working with my two daughters, and then, meeting all of the blushing 

brides to be...with the anticipation of creating their beautiful dream wedding day...

A Valentine's Day Party Photo Shoot @ The Vintage House

M Magazine - The Magazine for Kansas City Moms, used The Vintage House for a photo shoot for their February issue.  They brought in some special valentine details for the photo shoot...which looked amazing in the soft palette of The Vintage House!

 The little ones were so cooperative...and were just too cute!

 One of the props of the photo shoot was a beautiful cake, and cupcakes...

the kids couldn't wait to take a taste...
