A Vintage House Hosted Germanfest

We personally hosted a Germanfest at The Vintage House recently.  The evening began in the garden courtyard along side of The Vintage House where jolly polka music was playing in the background. German wine and beer was served with wonderful appetizers of smoked bratwursts, cheese and crostini's, with a delectable homemade german mustard sauce.

An authentic German meal was served inside the house...where the guests were welcomed to sit, relax and enjoy the food that was prepared by personal Chef Cindy Katcher of Chef to You.

~ Menu ~
Sauerbraten with a Rich Brown Gravy
Fresh Herb Spaetzle Sauteed in Butter
Spiced Red Cabbage
Rye Bread

And for dessert?? Oh my...a scrumptious German Apple Cake [Apfelkuchen]
with Dulche de Leche sauce drizzled under and over the cake!  Delightful!!!
After dinner, back in the courtyard, live accordian polka music was enjoyed
by all played by our dear friend, Ken!

Ken doesn't take himself too seriously when comes to playing the accordian...but everyone thoroughly enjoyed his special and very unique talent!  Thank you for playing for us Kenny!!

Making The Vintage House Your Own...

The Friends of a Feather group made The Vintage House their very own by holding their periodic vintage-inspired sale at The Vintage House. They utilized the indoors of our sweet event space for their vintage boutique filled with antiques, vintage-inspired decor, handmades, repurposed and renewed furniture.

This group asked us to create a unique and inviting Outdoor Tea Garden, so we created this space alongside the beautiful cottage garden where incredible homemade pie and yummy cupcakes were offered to their guests.

Our charming Vintage House was filled with visitors that were looking for vintage treasures that the Friends of a Feather had available to sell inside.

After shopping inside, lovely ladies relaxed on our vintage couch {which is usually a vintage piece used in the decor of the house} that was arranged in the Outdoor Tea Garden, while enjoying the delicious homemade pies and cupcakes.

The incredible fruit pies were made by Cheryl, one of our Vintage House creatives...her secret family crust recipe is too die for...I think it tastes more like a strudel!  These wonderful pies can be ordered for your own gathering at The Vintage House.

The Outdoor Tea Garden was designed and created using many unique treasures from our Vintage House collection of antiques and special finds {that we can't seem to part with} and can be made available for your own special event at The Vintage House.

Not only did grown ups enjoy the Outdoor Tea Garden, but young visitors did as well.  However, they seemed to opt for the yummy cupcakes!

"Cheers!!!"

In addition to the already charming Vintage House, we succeeded in designing an outdoor living space that was unique, inviting and cozy...a place to just sit, relax and enjoy life among friends.

Call or email us for more details on how to plan your own special event or gathering at The Vintage House. We would be happy to design a unique and special environment just for you!!

Wine Tasting Social

Out of all the exciting events we have lined up for The Vintage House I was anticipating this one the most.   After lots of planning and shopping and decorating all I wanted to do was eat good food and drink good wine with our lovely guests.    And I'm happy to say both of these goals were accomplished.

People seemed appreciative of the laid back and relaxing atmosphere of our informal wine social.  It was great to have a wine specialist present to describe the wines and how they paired with the appetizers.  However, my favorite part was hearing about the vineyards and regions of Italy where the grapes are grown.  Wine really does taste better with a beautiful mental image to back it up.

We hope you'll join us at The Vintage House soon.  Click on the Calendar of Events tab to the right to see what's next!
